Look Book Builder plans an AV show before you touch the hardware. Three tabs across the top switch between the three jobs. This guide walks each one in order — you’ll mostly live in Video Presets.
The show canvas. Lay out destinations, drop layers on them, set AUX/DSM outputs, and build a preset for each look — plus advanced tools like blend & AOI.
The engineer’s I/O sheet — every source and destination with its connector, signal type, resolution, and bandwidth warnings.
Signal-flow diagram — which source feeds which destination, plus per-signal thumbnails you can hand to operators as a packet.
Before you build anything, one screen stands up your whole show. Fill a few fields and Look Book creates the destinations, presets, AUX outputs and canvas for you. New shows open here — reopen it any time with + New.
Each preset is one look. Destinations sit left-to-right exactly where they are in the room; layers stack on each destination; the AUX strip holds your auxiliary outputs. The same data appears as an editable spreadsheet underneath.
Beyond the basic layout, every destination carries pro tools for real-world rigs — edge-blend overlaps and area-of-interest crops, plus dead-space and free-positioning.
Overlap two destinations for an edge-blended image. Drag a screen’s edge over its neighbour and set the overlap in pixels — Look Book forms a Blend Group and reports the true combined canvas (here 3240×1080), so you plan the real pixel space instead of two separate screens.
Capture only part of a destination. Drag the red box or type exact X / Y / W / H to crop and scale a region — ideal for a camera cut-out or a sub-section of an LED wall.
The I/O Patch is the engineer’s inventory. The Sources section lists every input — its connector, machine type, resolution, and notes. Names pull from the show’s library; click a chevron to rename or pick a common name.
The same inventory, output side. Every destination, AUX, and multiviewer is listed with its connector, type, and resolution — the engineer’s patch sheet for the whole show.
Wire draws every signal path that exists in any preset — sources on the left, destinations and AUX on the right, lines showing what feeds what. It’s the one-glance answer to “where does this picture come from?”
Every source and destination gets a thumbnail tile — a small picture of what the signal is. Look Book auto-colours them, or you upload your own, then hand the whole set to your operators so everyone runs from the same picture set.
On each card the thumbnail shows the input at a glance (camera, slides, prompter…). Click the shuffle icon to swap the auto-tile, or drop in your own image.
Download All Thumbnails — one ZIP of every 1920×1080 tile, sorted into sources / destinations / aux-dsm folders. Hand it to operators as a ready-made packet, or have them upload their own and re-export.
